Often times when someone is diagnosed with a life threatening disease, as cancer, the future may appear bleak. In fact, leading experts suggest that many cancer patients will eventually suffer from some form of emotional distress.
Most patients, families, and caregivers face some degree of depression, anxiety, and fear when cancer becomes part of their lives. These feelings are normal responses to this life-changing experience. -“American Cancer Society”
By engaging cancer victims in ways that are fun and creative we lift their spirit and even bring smiles to faces. We realize that poeple living with cancer need outlets for continued self-esteem and support.
It may seem strange to find humor when facing such serious issues. Yet, laughter can be helpful in ways you might not have realized oe even imagined. Feeling happy can help you feel better about yourself and the world around you. Laughter can be a natural diversion. When you laugh, no other thought comes to mind. It can also induce physical changes in the body. After smiling or laughing for only a few minutes, you may feel better for hours or even days. Help us to continue our mission. Your support means a lot and is greatly appreciated!
FACT has successfully worked with charitable foundations such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation. We supported their Circle of Promise Initiative and our founder, Angela Robinson, worked as a Breast Health Ambassador to reduce health disparities experienced by uninsured, under-insured and minority women diagnosed with breast cancer. We also closely worked with other cancer specialists including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and American Cancer Society. It would be a pleasure to invite representatives from establishment to meet our team at FACT to discuss this donation request. Any funding or in-kind donations received will be gratefully received and exclusively used for the purposes outlined.
